I know no one cares but I can't help myself AJ's Letter projects H & J
H was pretty hard. Took longer than a week because it was off and on. It came out 'meh' but she liked it. Its a hand puppet Horse with a Hat.
J was fun. Jellyfish (thank you octonauts). We got carried away with stringy stuff. Finished it today (due this Friday) haha So we took pictures with both
H is for Horse/Hat
J is for Jellyfish

Yeah the bar is a bit high. Haha.. not sure if I had something to do with that or not. One mom brought in a square box that she erected 'fence' around the edges then had a 'farm' inside it with a 'fish' pond and 'flag' pole and two 'friends' for the letter F
Me, I'm a slacker. this week is J, next week is K, so she and I will be making a kite. :)

The Jellyfish
Trip to Michaels....
Egg shaped foam, cut in half used the bottom 'half' It was on sale
Woodies - the stick she's holding shoved into the middle LAST
The top puffy ribbon was in the clearance section of ribbon
The pink dotted ribbon (like little balls of pink on a wire) also on clearance way at the back of the store. $1.50
Fun Fur Yarn from on sale 2 for $6 it rotates through three colors, purple, pink and light pink.
Tacky Glue (Cause we had none)
Used our coupon and it was $11 Nothing cost more than $2.50
From home:
Pink tissue paper to cover the dome
Red stone on top to hold the pink ribbon down.
Pretty easy put together
Cover the half dome with pink tissue paper, trim the edges, leaving about an inch.
Cut a med size piece of tissue paper into a square then fold the tips of the ribbon into triangles and glue them into a circle (5 sides so its like a star). Hot glue a stone on top to squish it (keep it) down. (she loves to push down the stone) Trim from the bottom so its a circle and glue to the top of the dome. (I did it this way so she could squish and mess with the glue and let the dome dry a bit)
Hot glue the ball 'pom-pom' ribbon down (after cutting 5 even lengths) so it ran every other regular ribbon versus pom pom ribbon. The first pom pom as close to the stone as possible. Then go around again hot gluing one more pom pom down at the bottom (I would have AJ pull the pom pom side down so it would sit in the pool of hot glue- we use cool glue).
I had a circle of tissue paper glued to the bottom too.
The rest is her going wild with lengths of the dark pink fur yarn. Just cut like 10 pieces and let her tacky glue them down. Then again with light pink.
I put another piece of tissue paper on the bottom with hot glue to hold down the strings while covering up the mess.
She helped twist wrap the stick with purple fur. Then shoved the stick through with hot glue then tacky glue too.

Your DD is so cute!
You are such a good mom. I know you work long hours as I do. There is no way in hell I would be doing a time consuming project like that. I would be buying something and cutting the tags off LOL
They came out great!

Well I keep posting up the letters so you guys are welcome to ask me or steal any ideas :)
At the end I'm going to collage all her letter projects (altho we skipped E) and make something out of it. I guess at the end of the year she and I will make an E project.
I did B (thinking it was alphabetical order) not knowing they were doing vowels first. Bit confusing to say the least. So AJ had Blue Bows when other kids had E for Elephants. By the time we were done with vowels I asked if we'd circle back to E and the teacher said no. 
Guess for fun I'll do E for Enterprise (my Dad's Ship in the Navy.) and give it to him for father's day in June
