I know this has been asked many times....TTC and getting a new job?
I have this great opportunity with a new job. It's great pay and much closer to home. I am so undecided if I should apply.
I don't know if I should go for it while ttc. My job now is very flexible if I need off.
I'm just so torn. I guess I'm just looking for advice.
Sorry for asking the same question that has been asked numerous amount of times. TIA!!

Do not live your life around TTC, it will only drive you crazy!

I agree. You never know how long it will take and you don't want to give up a career opportunity and then regret it in the long run.

I'm just worried they will give me problems, if I become pregnant and then have to leave to give birth.
Is this stupid to think of...

I agree too. I am starting a new job next week. Due to some medical issues, I have to stop ttc for several months anyway. I would still be ttc'ing though, if I could. Even though it might not be ideal, I want a baby more than I want a job and we would make it work regardless.
not a stupid question though at all. It's really up to you!

Thank you!! That's exactly how I feel...I want a baby more than I want a job. I just want to do the right thing.

Then go for the new job and keep ttc'ing! I'm sure you'll work it out, whatever happens.

Re: I know this has been asked many times....TTC and getting a new job?
I was faced with the same situation this past fall. DH and I decided we were going to start TTC this fall. I went off the pill over the summer in preperation and then the last week in August I got a new position. It was a promotion from my position at the time, closer to home and a lot more money. I took the job and went back on the pill and have put of the TTC thing off until next year. You have to do what is right for you and DH. Good Luck!!!

I just feel that my age is a BIG factor with ttc, I would hate to put it off.

I was actually offered a job with a massive and very well known company during our first month of TTCing the money wasn't better and the position either it was just a very very good company to have on my resume, my job at the time and NOW would allow me to work from home once I have a baby and they are really flexible with everything, and the hours would be more at the new job and the money was the same for both jobs and I just couldn't put a dollar value on the fact that they would allow me to work from home, so I stayed at the old job, but I didn't do it bc I was TTCing it was more of a life work balance for me...so do whats good for you!!!!

I would not put TTC off for anything but thats just me. If I were in your situation I would take the job regardless of TTC, you never how long it will take to become pregnant. If the job opportunity is a good one, take it and then deal with the pregnancy when the time comes.

Re: I know this has been asked many times....TTC and getting a new job?
I had a similar situation-I took the job and was more lax about ttc this month, but after this I will let nature take its course and see what happens! If it is a great opportunity I would take it and cross the next bridge when you get to it!

I would 100% apply. As the other posters have stated you never how long it will take to become pregnant.

Re: I know this has been asked many times....TTC and getting a new job?
I agree, don't let it revolve around TTC...I was TTC on and off for 3 years, then found out that both my DH and I have fertility issues....I just started a new job in Sept and we have been seeing a specialist....my boss happened to see me upset one day bc of results I had gotten and she asked me about it. Turns out she had similiar issues and is very supportive of me even though I am a newbie there....so you never know....you just have to live life! It will all work out.
