I know this has been discussed but I can't find it- re:how far along are you?
The ten month thread got me thinking.
I am 14 1/2 weeks. I say I am 3 1/2 months along. Should I just be saying I am 4 months since I am in my fourth month or are you only as many months as you have completed because like Preguntas says, how else could you say that you are 9 months pregnant.
Does this make any sense?

I know at some point they add a week to some of the months, to make it add up to ten months.

I am 16.5 weeks and say I'm starting my fourth month. Not sure if that is right though .

I am 13 weeks and I just tell people I am 3 months. Only a few people do I actually tell my weeks ( usually the ones that will understand  )

It depends on whether you are referring to lunar months or calendar months. with lunar months, it's 40 weeks-4 weeks in a month-total 10 months. With calendar months, it's 40 weeks, 4.2 weeks-9 months.

i just tell people how many weeks i am. if they want to know how many months i am i let them figure it out on their own

I am 14w2d
I just say "Im just past my first trimester"
For those who ask "So that's... how many weeks" then I say about 14 going on 15 weeks along.
At which point you MUST (obligated) to say "yes, we'll be finding out the sex" hehe most people seem to know about this time or later you can find out the sex.

i am 14w1d and according to what to expect when expecting i just started my 4th month and im in my 2nd trimester. i dont like how some websites tell you one thing and others say the other...its just so confusing!!!
