I know this is gross but...

my dog will not stop dragging her @ss. She gets her anal glads drained once a month and I have changed her food three times and still she keeps dragging, I give up. Any suggestions?

Ok I am going to be gross too..
Being that you get her glands surpressed everything month I am sure that you are aware the poop needs to be hard ennough to surpress the gland on it's own.
Is her poop soft ?
If so ,try putting a little pure canned pumpkin(unspiced) in her food.
Start with a teaspoon and see how it goes.Then add a little more if needed.
Mia had this problem and it helped.
Don't put too much or it can make your baby constipated
Also switching food is good too. I see you have tried it but unfortunately it can take a while to find the right one

I use Wellness Core reduced fat and Mia is doing great .

It may also have to do with allergies.
Have you spoken to your vet about it?

I will def. try the pumpkin, where do u get that dog food from?
I did tell my vet and he said to keep trying different foods until we find one that stops her from dragging. I just feel bad for her, the gross part is when she gets really excited like barking at other dogs and some of the fluid comes out and smells really bad.

I actually squeeze my dogs anal glans every two weeks... the vet showed me how to do it.. Ask them to show you and when you give your dog a bath just do it yourself.. She always feels so much better.. I know its time when she get the fish butt Thats what i call her fish butt.. i sware she knows what i am going to do and she lets me.. She doesnt like it either.. She loves when i wipe her cooly w/baby wipes she actually runs into the bathroom when I say its time owipe your cooly and sticks her but out!!! Its insane.. I cant believe she is so freakin smart sometimes..

If you go to the wellness site you can put in you zip code and it will tell you where to buy their products.
Just make sure to call the place before you go . They might sell some Wellness products but not the exact one you are looking for.

It sounds like your dog has it worse then mine did.
Mia's butt exploded , almost like the gland popped and she got a big open cut for a few days .

But other then that one incident she has never leaked.
Your poor baby.. it can't be comfortable.

I'm sorry, I don't have good suggestions for you but we had been battling bad poops too for a while.

We tried Canidae 4 stages, Natural Balance Potato and Venison, and now we are using Natural Balance Potato and Fish to help his coat. We've finally got great poops, soft enough to be comfortable for him, but hard enough where we can pick it up cleanly.

I agree about the pumpkin. If there are days where he needs a little help, we only put one tablespoon in per day. You can also try plain white rice and chicken. I hope your pup feels better soon!

I have to get her more food so I am going to pick it up this weekend (i hope that makes it stop) and I just made a grooming appt. for her for sat. so atleast they can squeeze them. But i have to say, you calling it fishy butt is so funny that is exactly what it smells like..lol.
