ive brought drinks into the restroom with me-
not anytime recently of course!!!!
but i recall at dublin pub age 21 i definitely had a friend "hold my drink" in the bathroom line!

I don't think it's gross at all....well, for my reason it's not...I bring my drink EVERYWHERE....I paid for it, I plan on drinking it, and I'm not leaving it behind for the following reasons:
1. Someone decides to throw a roofie in there
2. Someone decides to drink it.
3. It gets thrown out.

Right, but I think what she is saying that then they have to grab it again before washing their hands...at least that is what I thought.

I ALWAYS bring my drink in with me when I am a bar. I sit it on a counter where I can see it or bring it in with me.
It's not like I am dunking it in the toilet.

Ya wanna know what's even more gross..........when the men here in my office bring their cups of coffee into the bathroom with them.
That just turns my stomach!  
I can handle bottles of beer in a bathroom a lot better for some reason.

I used to grab everyone's empties with a napkin. It used to drive my boss nuts how many napkins I would use in a night

I wouldn't want to leave the bathroom without washing my hands. But I'd rather bring my drink into the bathroom than risk it getting thrown out or getting something slipped into it. To each his own, I suppose.

I never really thgouht about this--I just pee between drinks. There were probably some days in college where I chugged while waiting on line.

just so that those of you who bring your drinks in the bathroom with you know... no good bartender would ever throw out a full drink.
BUT the universal symbol for "dont throw away my drink, im in the bathroom or smoking" is to simply place a coaster or napkin over the top of your drink
