I literally feel sick to my stomach over something I just heard on TV (this is parented related)
I just happened to turn on the TV show "Hopkins". Apparently a little boy who can't be more than 2 had to go under anesthesia for some type of procedure (not sure b/c I didn't see the beginning of the show) and had a heart attack from the anesthesia and is now in heart failure. The doctors were discussing and debating the damage to the heart and what they should do and one doctor said in such a cold, non-emotionally way "we should just let him die". 
How can a doctor say that about a 2 yr. old boy? I literally feel like I am going to vomit, it is just so upsetting. The mother and family is screaming and crying and now being a mother I can feel this mother's pain. 
ETA: I am watching more of the show, apparently he had a pre-existing heart condition that went undiagnosed. They put him on the list for a heart transplant.
I just still can't believe that doctor said that.

FH and I are watching this and we could NOT believe it either. He gasped, I started to cry. Im sorry but as a doctor I dont think its right for him to say that.. I think its inhumane.
I really liked this show.. but I dont know if Im going to be able to watch it anymore. I know that its about real life emergencies and all but I just cant take it.

I know that I've seen shows like ER and the like where they let the patient "die" then shock them back to life? Do you think that's how he meant it?

I am crying over here too and my heart is breaking for the family. I hope he gets a heart before the show ends otherwise I am going to have to research to see how he is and as for that *** of a doctor I was shocked at his attitude even if he does this every day and is immune to peoples feelings

I couldn't believe it either. I was shocked.
And now look....he has a new heart.
He has a chance at life again.

He got a heart transplant and looks great 
ETA: On a funny note, did you guys catch the old guy who had to get 2 toes amputated? I was cracking up how he was dropping the f-bomb every other word.

I had not watched this show and turned it on just as all that occurred and I was crying so hard that I didn't hear the doc say that...
It was so raw and real, I had chills and tears and a feeling in the pit of my stomach....it's so hard to watch shows REAL or FAKE that have things like this happen to children now that I have Bella. I cannot even imagine the pain and fear. My nephew has had a lot of medical issues since he has been born that have required surgeries and hospital stays...what I have seen my sister and parents of sick children really breaks my heart.
