I lost my Child Abuse ID cert
can this be replaced or do i need to take the course again?

Was this requirement already submitted to the state for your certification? if you have a certificate already, Albany has proof that you met the requirement, so, no you don't need the physical certificate.
if you haven't applied for certification yet, than yes, you will need it.

yes, bt i don't have the physical cert. So should i just tell the department that i took the course last year so they can verify?

where did you take the course? through your college? i remember taking mine at my school and they forwarded all my information to Albany so I didn't have to worry about it.
if you took it outside your school, perhaps you can call wherever you went for it and perhaps they could generate a copy for you? or perhaps they sent your name as completing it to Albany?
Basically, I would check with the state if they have that info. on file for you. you need the Child Abuse seminar and the SAVE workshop.

log into teach - I think that you might be able to see that you have the cert?
I took it with my college and I'm pretty sure it's on my transcript.
