I love Dr. Hershlag!

Hi ladies,
I had my full physical and mock transfer today to start prepping for IVF. I start Lupron next week-eeek!!!

Anyway, I've never seen Dr. Hershlag before. At NSUH, you get whoever is on for the IVF appts. based on the time you need the appt. Well, I had him today and I love him!!!

He was sooo nice. He gave me so much hope. He said we are great IVF candidates and he *knows* I will get pregnant. He was just so warm and reassuring. He asked me what I did and what DH did for a living....and then he asked me how many children we want!! I've never had an RE ask me that!

I said maybe two or three, but I never thought it would take me this long to get pregnant so who knows (I am unexplained IF). He smiled and put his hand on my leg and said sometimes you just gotta have faith. Then he said that I will get pregnant.

I swear I thought I was about to cry right there (from happiness). I really hope he does my er/et. That would be awesome. I feel like he gives off such good vibes.

He did my ET and I got pregnant! He is a very nice doc!!!!

I do love how positive they all are there. It's like it's not even a question - of course you will get pregnant!

I love, love, love Dr Hershlag! One of the kindest Dr's I've ever seen. He used to hug me after every appt. He did one of my ER's and was so gentle. Good man! Did you see him at the Golden Globes with his wife and NP? He was also in US Magazine. He must be dying! lol

I know!!! The whole appt all I kept thinking was don't blurt out Natalie Portman!!!

I did see the video of him and his wife at the Golden Globes. Didn't notice his NP there (:runs off to rewatch video:). DH couldn't believe it. DH thinks Natalie looks just like him. . I said really? I don't see it at all!!!

AAgghh!!! So do you think a patient has ever asked him about her?

Funny story.

My DH used to come to every appt with me so one time when my DH wasn't there he asked me where he was.. I said "he's on business in LA" and he said "oh, my daughter lives there" (he said it with a big smile and a wink). I didn't bite because I just didn't want to make it awkward. He kept going on and on about how his daugther doesn't love LA but she's there for work and she'd rather live in New York. It was adorable. You can tell he's a proud papa.

I agree with your husband. I think she looks like her dad! lol

I loved when I got to see him as a patient. They were all good there but he had something extra caring about him......Good Luck to you

I agree. He was the extra TLC I needed at the time, honest and caring. I really liked him too.

He was the only doc I did NOT see when I was going through IF issues, but he was very complimentary towards us in regard to how lovely he thought Abby was when we were trying for Jeremy. Nice man.
