I made my first Ethiopian meal!!!!!
We have eaten at an Ethiopian restaurant almost weekly since the boys have been here..its been wonderful, the waitresses hug them, the guys in the bar give them music and hug them and love them and we have been welcomed with open arms..but Im going BROKE>>>im a single mom who doesnt make much..so I decided to try this at home...I actually did ok..The boys helped me mince garlic and peel eggs, etc..I made their favoprite meal..called Dora Wat..THEY LOVED IT!!!!!! I messed up a bit on the injera(a bread that they use as a fork and they grab the food with the bread and eat all of it..VERY GOOD)..I couldnt make it thin enough..so for chrsitmas..I will buy myself an injera grill...but the actual meal they were so happy..they kept saying "TANK YOU MOMMY< TANK YOU" and I received a bout a thosuand more hugs..what was so sweet was I apologized about the injera and Biruk said "its ok Mommy, you tried hard, with practice you will learn it"...and this is what I say to him daily...so that was awesome that he knows how wonderful it is to TRY....I am just so happy I made it..I always order my food mild..but tonight I followed the recipe and I thought my mouth would fall out.....so DAMN spicy..but they ate it and didnt stop..it was wonderful!!!! YIPPPPEEEEE Things are moving right along!!!

I always get a little teary eyed when I read such happy stories about you and the boys.
That is so wonderful you tried and you taught them tonight that trying and practicing (and add a dash of love) makes things perfect.
I am sure this was the best ethiopian meal they ever ate.

You guys are so sweet...I actually feel like a celebrity in my children's eyes tonight because I made Dora Wat....what a great feeling!
Tonight, Paulos told me he loved this day, we woke up, bought his batman costume , he and Biruk played all day then they voluntereed to help me cook and it was delicious...I just think it is so sweet that they acknowledge everything...I feel so lucky.

It's wonderful to read them. Keep sharing them with us. I think you also have a knack for sharing your life. I think you should keep a journal of this and maybe one day, you can write a book about your experiences. When it becomes a bestseller, don't forget to share some with the one that gave you the idea
Keep the stories and the pictures coming.....
I personally love them.
