I'm going to my cousin's wedding in Newport the first weekend in Sept! Many of the hotels were booked when we booked a few months ago. Her block of rooms is at the Hotel Viking, which looks great but is $$$$$. There is a Hyatt in Newport that isn't too $$$$ and if you are willing to stay in surrounding towns it gets cheaper.

Smack across from the Hotel Viking is a B&B that we stayed in this summer. Not the greatest, but for a bed and a bathroom it was just fine. I wasn't too $$$.
It was the Inn on Bellvue.

THANK YOU so much for starting this thread! I'm hoping to surprise my husband with our first anniversary trip up to Newport!! I just contacted the B&Bs for their rates for our anniversary weekend!

We love the Cliffside Inn (it's a B&B). They have different rooms at different rates -- all with their own bathrooms! There are even "villa" style rooms that are not attached to the actual inn. Highly recommend it!

Try Attwater Villa. We stayed there and loved it. Such nice people and cute rooms too AND it's really close to everything.
