I know there's a Knights Of Columbus on Wantagh Ave.
Hemingway's Reataurant has an upstairs for parties.
Per Un Angelo Restaurant also has a back room for parties.
Good luck!!!

I believe it's in the same shopping strip as Hemingways and the 5 & 10. The Victorian gift shop is across the street.

Or Cherrywood Cafe has functions as well (a friend of mine just went to a shower there). VFW is right next to Hemingways - about 3 stores down in that shopping center. Or I've heard of people hosting events at the Wantagh Inn.

Re: I need a hall for a Christening...
the VFW hall in wantagh was great... we used it for our engagement party.......
it's next to the wantagh fire house & infront of the wantagh train station on park rd or ave.. not sure...
it holds up to i think 135 people.....i think they charge the $300 for 4 hours... then you bring in your own food... they offer a bar with beer wine & soda... and waitress to help you run the evening & serve heat items and such...
i dont know how much the extras are but it was a really nice place...
my family has used 3-4 times since for various occassions...
