I need advice..my 13 month old is making me nuts?
He is still getting up every single night usually around 3 a.m. He will scream and scream until he gets a bottle. We've tried CIO...no luck. I've even resorted to water instead of milk in the bottle and he still drinks the water. I think he's still hungry. So I feed him dinner around 5:30, oatmeal at 7:00 then an 8 0z. bottle at 7:30 hoping this will keep him asleep....but it doesnt. How is all this food not enough??? I need to sleep...

mine is a year old and still is getting up for that feeding as well on most nights.
Lately, I have found sucess the nights where I force a yogurt into him right before bed. Minutes before. The ped told me that protein will help get him through the night, we are sometimes making it to 5 AM now.

Re: I need advice..my 13 month old is making me nuts?
my son did this up until a couple of months ago..he is almost 2.5
I would feel bad because he was a terrible eater so I felt like I was depriving him of the only nutrients he was getting.
Here's is what worked...we stopped the bottle ..cold turkey! We told him the bottles were broken...I took the nipples off and showed them to him. Whenever he asked for milk I said okay....and I gave him milk in a sippy.
Well he refused the sippy he would only drink water. So he stopped waking up. I guess he was just using the bottle to soothe himself.
He does however still have a pacifier at night.
