I need an OB Suggestions (Vent inside)

I just started going to Suffolk OBGYN about three months ago. I really like the Doctor but the office staff is just not nice and they get snippy. For instance I just called to get test results that were done over two weeks ago. The receptionist said a nurse would call me back.

Well she did call and claims I was never seen in their office. I confirmed it was the correct office and she said yes and you are not a patient here. I said well then how come I saw Dr. Shaffron a few weeks ago at your office. She looks again and they for some reason put my maiden name, and married name hyphenated and she didn't look enough. She did not even say sorry for the mistake.

Now this is not the first time they claim I was not a patient their. Last time before my appointment I called to confirm my appointment and the woman tells me I do not have an appointment and I am not in their computer. I said I just had a message from your office saying I had an appointment how am I not in the computer. Well she did more searching and their I was. I am just done with this office.

I live in Eastern Suffolk so somewhere in Medford, Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Stonybrook would be great.

I'm sorry I dont have any recommendations because I am in Queens

but I sympathize- I go to a lot of doctors and have switched more than once because of a nasty staff, so I dont blame you on that.

I live in PJ and I go to Thomas P. Erhart. He has a brand new office on rte 112 in PJS.

He accepted another DR in to the practice whom I have not met - Syvia H. Tufano. I deal with Dr. Erhart and his Nurse Practioner Theresa Salas who is wonderful.

I see Dr. Jennifer Johnson - shes a Stonybrook ObGyn and i LOVE her. Ive only been going a short time but from day 1 she was VERY thorough and pointed out something that my old gyn never did (moms history of early menopause could signify problems for TTC) and b/c of this sent us to RE after 5 months of TTC with no luck.

Anyway - the office is great - staff is helpful and pleasant and i have never waited more than 15 min for my appt - which is a big switch since my old gyn was over an hour every time.

Crashing here! I go to three village women's health. My gyn is dr. Kaelber. I really like her!

They have an office in patchogue, I actuailly think its in the same medical park as suffolk ob/gyn.

I go to Suffolk OB/GYN too and found that I had problems with the staff in the Patch and Port Jeff offices. I normally go to the Smithtown office and they are so nice and on top of everything.....when I had to go to the other offices cause of scheduling issues I had nothing but issues....the Patch is by far the worst of the 3 I have been to. Can you switch to a different office so you can keep the Dr if you really like her?

I also see Dr. Shaffran at the Pathogue office, I haven't had any problems with the staffs, but I'm thinking about going to a different doctor who will deliver at Stony Brook. They only deliver at St Charles. I will speak to her at my next appointment and see if they will deliver at Stony Brook, if not I might have to change doctor too.
Dr. Shaffran is really nice, although i haven't had any problems with the staffs, they are not the nicest.
