I need an outfit...
For DH's movie premiere on April 13. He's wearing a tux, and I don't want to go too fancy but want to do something a little more "trendy."
Best friend suggested I wear all black w/my "famous" white blazer and go nuts w/gold accessories....
but...I think that may be too "trendy" and not dressy enough.
I'm short and pudgy - 5'2" and about a size 14/16 or 18 depending on the cut(gasp I'm revealing it on the internet for millions to see.)
I went on Lane Bryant's site (size 16 in their dresses) and they had kakapoo.
Don't want to spend more than $200.

Mrs Q, the second dress looks like a winner!!!
I am about the same size  and I bought a dress at Nordstroms. They have plus sized dresses that don't look like something your grandma would wear.

I really think you should do a black cocktail dress...I mean your husband is wearing a tux, so I think you should definitely at least do a black dress.
ETA: Chris - I would definitely suggest clean lines and cut as well. And then go crazy with accessories.

It's a "soft" premiere at The Tribeca Grand (hotel) Screening Room. We only have room for 100 - so I PROMISE if extra seats open up - you and your hubby are numero uno on the list!
They hope to get it into the Atlantic City Film Festival since it's a movie based on AC.
Their first film was called "The Night Crew" and won the 'Buzz Award' for the New York Video & Film Festival.
