I need dinner Ideas for a 10 month old
I feel like I keep Riley the same food over and over again!! I need to change it up.
She does great with table food even though she only has her bottom teeth and now her top teeth are making there way in.
I still give her oatmeal, fruit either a jar or homemade and pieces of chicken or sweet potato, avacado, pasta, white potato,
I need some ideas!!
Thanks Denise

I need ideas too! So far I have given her Pastina, cheeses, low sodium chicken or turkey coldcuts, mashed potato, sweet potato, peas, she loves the puffs I put them on her tray first for a little appetizer ( plus it helps getting her into the high chair ) Im still giving her jar foods

Will LOVES cheese and bread, so I'll throw a piece of cheese on bread and toast it for a minute and he'll eat the whole thing!

Re: I need dinner Ideas for a 10 month old
I've given DS some things that I've made for us (just took a portion out for him before I salted it).
Shepherd's pie meat sauce with pastina pastina with egg swirled in grilled cheese sandwich cut up into tiny pieces
He loves cheese, which you can mix with all kinds of veggies - he loves cauliflower in cheese sauce. You can do butternut squash and mix it with cheese and pasta so it's like macaroni & cheese with veggies
I made rice pudding last night for his dessert, but he didn't like it!

Now the item you all listed thanks by the way my question is how do you what is enough or considered a meal??
Is a piece of cheese on bread good enough?

Re: I need dinner Ideas for a 10 month old
I was giving DD#1 and now DD#2 (who is 11 months today) - pastina or small alphabet pasta that I cook in organic low sodium chicken broth or I make my own broth - I put in anything from steamed carrots that I cut into VERY tiny pieces, and some other veggies, and I will sometimes add in chicken or hamburger meat and some cheese.
I make chicken meatballs with veggies and break them into tiny pieces.
And I give many of the things you mentioned you already give.

Re: I need dinner Ideas for a 10 month old
At 10 months we just gave our DD whatever we were eating for dinner and maybe supplemented with some extra veggies or fruits. I just cooked as always and let her eat the same dinner. I have been lucky though, my DD is an amazing eater and doesn't refuse ANYTHING so it was easy to have her eat dinner with us. She ate baked ziti, meatballs, chicken, pasta, meatloaf, etc. etc.
EDIT - She had no teeth until right before her 1st bday.

You can make a pastina or orzo dish. I put some veggies in with chick broth and some tomatos and pasta. I cook it until it is mushy. You can do the same with rice.
Or a meatloaf. Instead of egg I used pureed veggies. THen I slice it into portions and freeze it.
Ravoli was always a hit.
