15.5m DS definitely needs to start being disciplined. He has been acting up a lot lately.
This morning, DS was playing around and was slapping DH. DH raised his voice and sternly said no. DS would find it funny and start laughing and doing it more. We attempted our first time out today and failed. We placed him in the corner and DS seemed to think it was some sort of game.
How do you get your toddler to stay in a time out?
We haven't used our pack n play for a while. I was thinking of making that the designated time out? DS HATES being in there.

DS is 13.5 months and has been starting to test us. He knows not to pull all the books off the shelf or grab for the phone. If I say no he does smile. I usually say something like... No, it's not a toy. Then I face him the opposite way. He gets angry for a moment. Sometimes he heads back to what he was doing and I do it again. I put a toy by him and say this is a toy you can play with. He's been doing better with that.
As for the slapping. I do the "make nice" and also "we don't hurt mommy" then I take his hand and gently rub in on my face. I've also pretended to cry. Although he found that amusing I guess it's only going to get harder from here

DS is the same age and I am experiencing the same thing
I usually tap his hand firmly and say NO
or I put him in Time Out--he usually runs away but at least he knows that he will be placed there--even if its for 12 seconds
