I need help with Birthday time line??

My DS birthday starts at 1.. I know noone will be there at 1 prob. My MIL suggested getting food delivered at 2pm...we will have plenty of snacky things before that. then I have the clown coming at 2:30. I tried seeing if I could switch to 3, but that was a no go.

SHould i switch the food time? Or make the clown earlier??(that I can do..)

I would do Food and eat at 2pm, keep clown at 2:30 cause kids finish quick anyways, if you are doing presents, do that by 4pm, then 5pm cake

That's what i usually do..
2pm party starts
330 pm Food everyone eats
5pm cake

I don't open presents for 1st birthdays in front guests. But for DD's 2nd i did, i just pushed cake up a 1/2 hour and did presents at 4:30pm.

Thanks..so my timeline is okay. I'll have food delivered at 1:45, so they can be eating about 2.

Presents..that was another question I had? DO I open presents for a 1st birthday???

Um, can ya tell I grew up not celebrating birthdays?...I literally have NO CLUE!!

What time did you put on the invites? 1-4? If so, do food maybe 230? Clown arrives at 230 is fine. PPl should arrive on time, if they don't, their loss.

I say leave the times as you have. The adults will want to eat right away and the kids never really sit down and eat.. they always run around and end up eating a bite her and bite there.

OKay thanks, I just talked to caterer. he is going to deliver food warm, at 1, then wants me to put food on the sternos, and the food will be ready in about an hour at 2...so that seems like it will work out! It's all for free, so I can't complain!!
