Any digital camera comes with the program needed to upload your pics, or a docking station or a USB cable.

3.2 megapixels or better, imo.
we have the canon powershot A70 and we love it.
eta:...there's a little cable that plugs into the back of the computer...you plug that directly into the camera, and in seconds it transfers your pics from the camera onto the computer...VERY easy.

Yes, you should be able to. My first digital camera was about that price a couple of years ago and the prices have come down. Your best bet is go to Best Buy (or someplace like that) and see what they have. Try them out, see how they feel in your hands, ask the sales people questions.
Some advice - consider if you want video (with or without sound). Get additional memory cards (at least 128mb). Get a camera case. Get something with at least 3-4 mega pixels. (you really dont need anything more than a 4 megapixel...you can get nice prints up to an 8x10 with 4mp). Get rechargeable batteries (you will fly thru batteries, especially if you're using the display).
I prefer Kodak - I have the Easy Share 6490 and LOVE it. I also have a Canon 5200 Powershot which I love! And I have a Fuji that I love too. LOL!!

I'd like to get one also that has it's own little printer so you don't need a computer. I've seen them at Best Buy. If you have it, do you like it??

I didnt buy it because I have a big photo printer and I use Snapfish.com a lot.
My friend does have it though and I just dont think it does the pictures justice. The color isn't as good as a full sized printer and also you cant do all different sizes...like wallet size or 8x10.
I would suggest getting a full sized photo printer if you can, you can use it for so much more.

Re: I need help with buying and using a digital camera
If you only want to post online and email 2.0 MP is more than enough. I'd go 3 or higher if you want to print them out and of course rpice becomes a consdieration Also, the higher the MP, the more space they photos will tkae up on memry cards and your computer. I needed a new printer so I'm getting the HP PhotoSmart 2610. It's an all in one, which is what I needed but you can actually put your digicam memory stick or card right into it and print just like that. It's not that expensive and it has a lot of uses. I made my own engagement announcements and thank yous using my own photos with my old printer. Once you have a decent photo printer, you'l find SO many uses for it
My mom has a Fuji digital camera and she likes it very much. We got it at circuit city.
