I need ideas for a Christmas gift for a 'just married' couple
My BIL is getting married Dec. 3rd. Me, DH and DD are all in the wedding party, DH is going to the bachelor party, plus we are giving $300 towards the rehearsal dinner that my other BIL set up at a restaurant as our wedding gift. I want to get them a 'couple' gift for Christmas. They're leaving for their honeymoon Christmas Day, going to Mexico. They live at her mom's house for the time being.
Any creative ideas?

A wooden sign with their last name and wedding date. I just bought one for myself and I love it. It's a nice decorative piece.

that's what a channa plaque is. Couldn't think of the proper name, and everyone on LIW calls it by the name of the woman who creates them lol. Aren't they great? I got great wedding photos with it

How about a 'throw blanket' with their names embroidered on it.. something like "Harry and Sally" or....... "The Smiths"

My cousin just got married and this is what I got for them for christmas...from pottery barn...
Christmas stocking with their names embroidered (also one for her step son stuffed with toys)
Christmas tree skirt embroidered to say "The Smiths" (but with their last name)

We got a Lenox nativity from a family friend for our first Christmas. It was very thoughtful and menaingful to us.

This is a great idea!
Also, when my DH and I were married, someone close to me had a Lenox bride & groom ornament personalized with our names and wedding date. It's not a very pricey gift, but it means a lot to us. I display it all year, not just at Christmas time.
