I'm so sorry this happened Unfortunately, I know about a dad having a stroke Of all of the things we having in common, why, why, why does this have to be added to the list?
OK, I'm going to post exactly what was quoted to me by several docs who cared for my father...
"It's a stroke, the worst is OVER"
A stroke is a loss of oxygen or bleeding out in brain. The second it hits is actually the worst your father will feel. I don't know the extent but no matter how small or how severe, it is the time after the stroke that the brain begins to heal. It is a shock to his body but he CAN and WILL recover.
Please, please, please call me.
My father had a massive, massive stroke and we never thought he would recover to the degree he has. It's unlike every other diagnosis in that the patient improves.
