I need someone to tell me I'm being ridiculous..

So this guy in my office went to dinner last night on Arthur Avenue and brought a box of cannolis into the office from a bakery by the restaurant. I couldn't resist and had one. Then I realized I had no idea if there was raw egg or cream or what in cannoli fillling so I looked it up and they use ricotta. Fine if its pasteurized of course, but if it's from one of those old school italian bakeries, think there's any chance they use non-pasteurized??? Because now I don't feel good and it could be totally psycho-somatic (it probably is) since I didn't think about any of this until after I ate it.....but if it isn't and there could be an issue....

see, i'm driving myself nuts over here so please tell me to calm down and it's fine.

Most places used pasterurized ricotta...especially bakeries because they are not being cooked...even the old school ones.


The chances of you gettting sick are very very slim.......

I know how you feel. Being pregnant I obsess over everything I eat as well. It puts the fear in you.

However in this instance, I think you have nothing to worry about.

So, I just wanted to thank you for this post. After I read it, I called my friend to go and pick me up a cannoli from town b/c I absolutely HAD to have one!!! And BOY OH BOY, it's YUMMY!!!!!

I was so cautious with all this stuff too in the beginning. Now my motto has turned into "everything in moderation".

I now even have caffiene once a day!!!
