I phone users and coupons

I went to three stores today and forgot to bring the print outs of the emails (with coupons) those stores had sent me.

I don't have an Iphone. But I was wondering if I did, could I have just brought up the email on the phone and showed the coupon? Or, would that not work?

It totally depends on the store. Some stores definitely take it that way, as long as they can scan the code but others won't. I would say the majority of the time I have been able to use it though.

the majority of stores i have gone to with my phone all take the coupon by seeing it on the phone, if it has a barcode it usually scans from my phone.
