Thank you! I'm truly very proud of her. We grew up with NOTHING. This is huge! Chat Icon Thank God! Chat Icon

Oh, her house is like the "Grand Entry Home" but the brick/accents are different. No 2 homes are the same in that subdivision.

Hey D!

Her house is not on the site...since it's been sold. But it's similar to the "Grand Entry Home".

It comes painted, with appliances, basemant, etc.

Yes, the houses are hugemungous! Furnishing them must be incredible.

I find that many of the builders across the country pay closing costs. The condo we bought it AZ-the builder/lender paid the closing fees. That was SWEET!!!

You have to have a 5 zone intercom system if your DH is in the "West Wing" and you are in the "East Wing:" of the palatial estate!

I could just see us now! Honey-can you get me a roll of toilet paper? Hon?...oh HON!!!! I'd be stuck with not a square.

Re: I promise, this is not in the middle of nowhere!

Aw, thank you girls! Chat Icon

I have to say it again, I'm so proud of my big sister. We were talking about how blessed we are. She has 3 kids, one of them is 7 years old. She gets her own bedroom AND bathroom now. When my sister was 7 (I wasn't born yet) my parents were living in the "caserio" or "projects" in Puerto Rico. We've come a LONG way! Chat Icon All 3 of us own homes and our parents (they're divorced) are always telling us how proud they are. It's a beautiful thing!

And yes, the builders play closing costs. And all of her appliances are top of the line Stainless Steel Jen-Air. Her tiles, paint color, moulding, outdoor deck (it's 2000 sq ft! Chat Icon), fireplaces (she has 4!), fans, fixtures, etc. were handpicked by her and her DH (he's in construction and got a lot of "extras" by hanging by the site and befriending the crew! Chat Icon).

I would need a live in maid to follow Jake around and clean up after him- he is like a torado

Yes, there are 14 intercoms throughout the house.

They cover: the front door, the side entrance, the garage, the kitchenm, the family room, the living room, the dining room, the master bedroom, the outdoor deck area, the basemant (I think there are 4 down there since it's the length of the house), the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. And they play music...I love yelling at my DH through them when we visit! Chat Icon I'm a dork! Chat Icon

I was telling D about her bathroom. I LOVE IT!! She had the tile put in to look like "wet sand" and it freaking does! And the shower had dual body massagers. When I win the lotto, I want a house like hers! Chat Icon

She's done furnishing...but yes...it was $$$. Lucky for her, she has great taste and they saved a lot of $$ so it was done in one weekend.

I moved into my much smaller house almost 4 months ago (hers is 7000+ sq ft vs. my 4000+ sq ft) and most rooms (including my bedroom) are bare...Chat Icon

Nope, not at all!! I can't wait to meet her!

My sister moved from Newton to Rockdale...and Lisa did the opposite! Chat Icon We're like 10 minutes away!!

I don't live where my sister lives...but I live near...like 3 miles.

Sasha - We've been in our one year this coming weekend, and we STILL don't have any bedroom furniture! We actually just ordered it, so it will be coming next week. I also have a big bare empty living room. And two empty bedrooms

Chat Icon Thank goodness Michelle, I thought it was only me!

We haven't done a thing to the house. We want to do the floors, paint, etc. All that's finished is the kitchen! Chat Icon

That's how I felt when I was in NY and my entire family was down here; I missed my sister SO MUCH. And I said I would *never* move...but something changed and moving was the best thing I ever did. You never know what life has in store for you! Chat Icon

I have yet to meet Lisa, would love to. It would be great to GTG once her gorgeous home is done.
