I REALLY can't believe some people....
It was said to me yesterday and I just let it go...or so I thought...but found myself thinking about it alot and get angrier and angrier that I didn't just give this person a piece of my mind!
I had to go to my old job so I brought DD with me of course. To make a long story short, she didn't know that I was still BFing. Actually, I'm not even sure she ever knew as I had only seen her once since I had DD. I guess she felt the need to say to me "Oh, I NEVER even gave breastfeeding a thought, the whole idea just turned my stomach and made me physically ill".
I just let it go because I was preoccupied because DD was getting fussy, etc. but now that I think about it.  WTH is wrong with people! Why don't they just keep their ignorant comments to themselves!

People are unreal. My worst comment about nursing was "It just seems so unnatural". Figure that one out!!
Just let it slide and know that you are doing what is best for your DD.

That's weird that she would say that--some people just don't know what is appropriate to say. Even if that's how she feels, she could say nothing or just say she never breastfed and leave it at that.
Why all the opinions on feeding from random people? I get them too, but I bottle feed, and it's usually "why didn't you breastfeed? It's so much better for them." And it is, but I had good reasons not to breastfeed.
Just let it go as a stupid remark.

ehh some people are just not that into BFing.
I would have made some snide comment back like...
'well, *I* would put my gross feelings aside and do what is best for my child...'
but making a snide comment back would just be stooping.

You should have nursed your dd right in front of her. Told her sorry she is fussy and needs to eat after all breast is best

Its called being ENVIOUS...and ignorant as well. BF for this long is very challenging and you should be proud of it so don't let it get to you

Good comebacks! I was so shocked I just kept my mouth shut! Unbelievable! 
I think some of my family members are even surprised that I'm still BFing. Why not? I want to go to at least a year!
A side note also, someone recently thought I was BFing just so I didn't have to pay for formula.  Like that was the ONLY reason I was doing so. People really need to just MTOB.
