I really don't know what to do anymore...
I'm so upset. We've had our cats Fellini and Lucien for almost five years. I love these cats with all my heart. Lucien is the kindest, sweetest and best cat ever. Fellini, on the other hand, while kind and loving, just won't stop peeing and pooping on my daughter's things. Her laundry, her bed, her toys, her stuffed animals. You name it, he pees on it. He just does not like her. He didn't do this when she was a baby, only now that in the past year, I'd say, has it gotten really bad. Now we have another baby on the way, and I don't even know what to do anymore because I'm afraid of this happening to all of his things, too. I just don't know what to do with this cat. I love him, but I cannot live my life like this, worrying about keeping doors closed, things off the floor and away from where he goes, etc. Does anyone have any advice? He's not sick, he's just spiteful

Have you tried Feliway? It isn't a miracle, but it can help. It is worth a try. Also I would speak to your vet, cats sometimes need kitty prozac.

Rachel, I totally understand what you are doing through.
As you may or may not have read, I went through this with my mom's cat. While my mom was staying with us, she DESTROYED our living room carpet and one of the upstairs bedrooms.
Cats can be very spiteful animals. A few years ago, I would have told you to find a solution. But I now know that there's probably very little you can do to change what your cat is doing.
Definitely do everything you can to TRY to remedy the behavior, but in the end, you have to do what you have to do to keep your daughter's things sanitary and your house from smelling like a litter box.
You will get drastically different answers from that one here, I guarantee it, but at the end of the day, you're the one that has to live with the cat and what he's doing to your daughter's things.
GL--I completely understand your frustration.
