I really hate covering for teachers who are absent....
The students are off the wall....it is so hard when they are not your own students....UGH!!!!

I just did this today! The best is when the absentee teacher leaves no assignment...just like, "Study for test tomorrow."

Well, I'm sure someone was cursing me today because they had to cover my classes. However, I always have the curtesy to leave somethign that will absolutely never get done in one period so none of them can claim to be done early. But I don't care if anyone complained about me today because I cover more classes than anyone else in my school combined, so they can all kiss my booty!

I know what you mean, especially when the kids know you are a teacher in the building and not a sub.
That is why i will only cover for people in my own department.
