I reupholstered our dining room chairs!
Shameless post. I'm proud of myself  . We got a set off Craigslist and I hated the chairs, so I reupholstered them myself. It was surprisingly easy. Here's the before and afters: Image Attachment(s):

What a difference   . What did you use to affix the material? Staple gun, hot glue gun, other?

I used a staple gun. Luckily my father in law had one that I could borrow. I had attempted glue originally and it was terrible.

Yes. There were 6 chairs. Two of the chairs had backs that were ripped apart, which is why I'm assuming the previous owners put the material covering them in the first place. We can get by on 4 chairs. I know nothing about basket weaving I'm adventurous with crafts, but not that adventurous.

They look great--they look so much better with the caning exposed. On the other 2 chairs, I think there are places that fix caning, but I don't knwo how expensive it is.

machine caning is pretty inexpensive...you can find a place to get them done if you need them
