I seriously just want to cry
This entire home buying process has been utterly horrible and I just want it to be over....
LOOOONG story short:
We go into contract on this house with closing date on or around 7/1, find out the seller never got a CO for the inground pool on 6/30. He takes his sweet time to file for a new one, get everything inspected, and has the variance hearing for it on 8/26. He need variances for some other things he had done to the property, and in the end, it went through. NOW we find out that he has the WAIT for a freakin letter from the town to show the variance for the pool went through, and THEN has to march over to the town again to show them the letter to get the CO for the pool which we need to close.
I am just so frustrated, there are no words. This is going to take WEEKS, and we won't close until October likely. Our attorney is not aggressive at all, and we are ready to kill everyone involved including ourselves because we are sick of living at my inlaws... AHHHHHHHHHH!   
And get this, this seller who is an absolute POS, tells the board at the variance hearing (my DH was there) that he is just trying to sell his house to a young couple who have a ... sick daughter!! I could kill this guy, how could someone make up such a thing? GRRR. This seller is just a complete butthole.
Ok ranting done, but we are just at our breaking point already to find we have to wait another month at least.

many many  for you and your family. What a butthole! I hope this all goes through in the end for you. Completely understand. Previous owners did similar things to us, but we closed a lot quicker than this. So crazy.

Now your bank requires an actual co? Maybe they will let you close with the variance approval
