i should feel guilty
but i don't.
at this point in my pregnancy i want nothing to do with my ILs.
i spent 2 days with them over the weekend (dinner one night, dessert two nights later) and all they wanted to talk about was the baby. this probably happened b/c DH's grandmother was in from FL and she hasn't seen us since Christmas (before we found out).
i am tired of the focus being on me. my breasts and what i choose to do with them are none of your business!!!
if DH wants to see them again before this baby comes i am going to say i don't feel well and stay home.
fortunately he's pretty cool about my mood swings and my hormones so i think he'll understand.
i don't know how i am going to deal when the baby comes. i know i'll have to relinquish control of  at some point. it's so much easier now that he is always with me and he goes where i go

I can really relate to this. It is frustrating to be the subject of attention and feel like we are losing control of our own lives.
Stay away if you can, you don't need extra stress. That's what I will do. I have to practice the phrase, "That's not up for discussion". Have you ever tried that?

no need to feel guilty at all!
Even though everyone is excited and means well, it sounds really annoying.
And the fact that they are asking you about your breasts is just.....
I give you a lot of credit for spending TWO days in a row with IL's. I don't think I could handle that.....
No need to feel guilty......if they come again you can say that you don't feel up to it.

normally i would but it's DH's grandmother, she is super-sensitive  i just told her "i don't know" when she asked if i was breastfeeding. when she mentioned it again i jus refused to speak a word on the subject - she and my MIL ended up making it a conversation between the two of them.
OMG...
poor DH already knows that his time with them is limited he is so sad!!

Don't feel guilty AT ALL. Your baby, your body, your choices...everyone can try to give their 2-cents...but you don't have to listen, and you can just not hang out with them..smartest choice ....yesterday I saw my BIL, and he had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and says, don't worry I won't smoke around the baby..I said, I'm NOT worried, YOU WON'T. And then he proceeds to say, but what about cursing, I can't stop the way I speak...I said, not around my child...he says: what about my dad(grandpa)...I said: I will simply tell your dad I don't want cursing around MY child..he then proceeds to say..well the kid will be "half ours"..I proceed to say...did I have yours and your dads sperm in me to make this baby??? He didn't say anything after that...
You could always shut them up with a comment like that

I wish I could figure out how to upload this awesome video I have of Baby G. Apparently BIL thought he needed to learn karate (or some other messed up martial arts) it is friggin hilarious.
Next time someone ticks you off, show them baby G & tell them he is your BBs bodyguard

Friggin t-mobile uses a weird extension file for their video & I cannot upload it, and I cannot link to it.
It is really funny though. Maybe BIL who is some kind of evil computer genius can fix it so I can post.

OMG me 4!!! I guess I'm always on the lookout for for new weapons to add to my arsenal of manipulation, I was applauding the creativity of this one!!!

Don't feel guilty whatsoever. When you're pregnant, people have this delusion that their comments and advice are welcomed..even if it is not. Particularly when it comes to BFing.
I have a generic response to that "I haven't really decided yet." They can't really say much to that.
Also, when people ask if I'm finding out the sex they say "aw..you're gonna ruin the surprise"..that makes me so mad that I've decided when I do find out and then ask me..I'm gonna say "ya, I did find out, but I wouldn't wanna ruin the surprise for you so I guess you'll never know!"
I can't WAIT TO SAY THAT.
We can fight back too!
