I swear my son is going to drive me to drink

Tyler was playing in his room while I was putting away his laundry. We have white wood window boxes over the radiators in our house which he insists on trying to climb on top of the one in his room. I turn to put something away and in a split second he pulls the window box down on top of him...he fell on his butt first, fell back and hit his head and than the window box fell on top of his legs and stomach pinning him on the ground. Of course I couldnt grab the window box in time b/c it happened in a split second Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I called DH and work and told him we are going to have to screw everything into the walls in this house b/c he loves to climb Chat Icon Chat Icon I was afraid he broke his ribs so I was checking his stomach and legs....but of course he cried for a second, got back up and tried to climb back up on to the window box Chat Icon Chat Icon

The boys in my family have always been very mischevious...one of my cousins climbed out the window in his bedroom on the 2nd floor when he was 4 and my aunt had to screw his window shut until he was out of elementary school...they all laughed when they found out I was having a boy and now I know why Chat Icon

It gets really scary the older they get, but luckily most of the time they cry for 2 minutes and then go back to doing what it was that hurt them in the first place Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

dh put hooks from the wall to the window box to prevent olivia from burning herself with the contents underneath and to prevent it from falling. more of a hook and latch where you have to squeeze the latch to open it. worked out great so far.

Thanks...I will tell DH so he knows what to look for at Lowes. DS likes to look out the windows so he tries to climb on top of the window box in his room so he can look outside b/c he's not tall enough yet.

Can you let him look out the screen door? We do that with Cailen... Just keep the door open...

Glad he is OK. You are going to have completely baby proof the house. Screw everything down like if you are on a cruise ship.
