I think I had an anovulatory cycle.....
I am on CD 41 today and at this point I WANT AF to come !! I honestly don't thnk I ovulated this month. I have NO symptoms of AF coming (sore b00bs, cramps, skin breakouts) I have been spotting for the past few days on and off, but not enough to be considered CD1. My longest cycle since coming off BC in August was 39 with the rest of them being between 30 & 35 days. I have taken HPT's and they are all BFN unfortunatly.
I think I am going to call the Dr. if she doesn't arrive by Monday. Does anyone have any experience with anovulatory cycles at all ?? Should I wait longer to call the Dr. ?? Any help & opinions are greatly appreciated !!!

Re: I think I had an anovulatory cycle.....
I have had a couple cycles that were anovulatory. Call the DR, they can do a blood test to see if you ovulated this month. They can give you something to bring on AF.
Just get checked out to make sure there aren't any underlying issues. In my case I was diagnosed with PCOS.
Good luck!

Re: I think I had an anovulatory cycle.....
I had an old OB tell me that I had "symptoms of PCOS" but not enough that he would give me the specific diagnosis of it (this was about 6 years ago) instead he suggested BC to regulate me.
Since coming off BC in August I have gained weight, have not had a regular cycle (but have had pretty similar LP's except for the 39 day cycle and this one) and have had super oily skin and dry scalp (but that I thought was just from the winter)
I told my current GYN about it when he started seeing me. He did bloodwork in August before I finished my BC and said that everything came back fine, but he did not re-run the blood work in March when I was there for my annual. Maybe now that I am runningn into this "problem" he'll re-run the tests and see what's going on now.
Thanks for your opinion....it's greatly appreciated.

Re: I think I had an anovulatory cycle.....
I had the same problem. When I first got off BCP my levels were "normal". 4 months later when I was on CD56 with no AF in sight they did blood work again and signs pointed to PCOS. I am not insulin resistant like some women with PCOS are, but I had levels of other hormones that had him diagnose me.

Re: I think I had an anovulatory cycle.....
I called and made an appt for Monday morning which will be CD45. The spotting stopped last night, and there is NOTHING there today. I am starting to worry too much about it and DH is actually starting to get concerned too.
It's ironic.....DH finally agrees to TTC and I have "issues" UGH
