I think I know my own answer to this but...
I wanted to get your opinions.
I was supposed to be in a wedding on June 10, but I backed out because I am due May 28 and we all know the percentages of having a baby on time. (I helped out with the bridal shower and all that stuff).
Anyway, she is having her bachelorette party on May 6. It will be in the city. I live out in Centereach. Knowing you would be starting your 37th week would you go?

That's a tough one. I know from what I read on these boards people are pretty uncomfy by their 37th week. Me, if it was dinner, then drinks, I might just do the dinner, then come home.

I am not sure of exactly what the plans are - I am guessing they are having dinner, but it really isn't stated in the plans.
I think I would feel up to it, but what worries me, if that I would be driving myself back home, city to Centereach is pretty far.
And gof forbid, I go into labor early - I will be in the city.
I think if they were doing dinner out here or even in Nassau county I would feel better about it.

I probably wouldn't...only because I am sure they will be out till all hours of the night! If you could do dinner beforehand then do that, I would probably go to dinner in the city if thats where it was but leave after that.

I probably would try to go.
But then again im not 37 weeks pregnant. It might be nice to get out one last time before the baby is born, you can always go home when you had enough.

i just declined a birthday party that is to take place in week 37. knowing how i feel now at week 34, there is no way i'm schlepping into the city in 3 weeks.

I probably would NOT go, because they are going to be out ALL NIGHT, and you will want to go home before everyone else, and how ill you get home?

Knowing that most of them are going to go and some are staying the night in the city, I might see what their dinner plans are and then take it from there. I will probably be driving myself into the city and back. I think everyone else will stay later than I would.

I wouldn't go at all. At 37 weeks I was/still are uncomfortable, cranky, and soo tired, plus my swelling is out of control.
This belly gets in my way of sitting close to the table to eat I have to try really really hard not to get food on me
It would be too much for me and way too exhausting!

I'm 37 weeks now and we've got a surprise bday party May 7th and a bridal shower May 13th. I'm sort of in the same boat. It really depends on how you feel. I wouldn't go in alone though. If it's the city can you ride with someone else? Maybe just the dinner portion of the night. Obviously going to a bar isn't going to be much fun if you can't drink and can't stand on your feet for long.

depends on what they are doing and how you feel....are you up to it?
Is there an opportunity for you to maybe have some one on one time with the bride that would be easier for you like a nail appt and lunch?

I would probably NOT go but thats because I would worry about my beligerent drunk friends doing really stupid and obnoxious stuff.
Also, I don't think I would be able to make it all night with them....
