I love ours. DH makes a whole chicken in the beginning of the week and uses the meat for lunch all week!

me too....and so I haven't even used it yet, though I'm dying to. I know people who LOVE their slow cookers.

Yeah I'm too scared to leave it alone, BUT I figured it would be nice on the weekends or if one of is home during the week.

I used mine the first time when I was home just so I know that it isn't defective. Now I have no problem using it while at work. I am making a london broil tomorrow while at work. I can't wait for dinner tomorrow night!

I use mine all the time....I also used to worry about leaving it on all day until I found out it uses as much power as leaving a lamp on. Most people will leave a light on in their home, so why not the crock pot?????

exactly! you leave other things on, how come not the slow cooker? If you left the tv on by accident all day, would you be worried?
Its not the same as leaving the oven on, or an electric heater or something like that. They are designed to be left on all day.

I love my crockpot! I've been using it since my bridal shower 5 yrs ago! I like to make:
Chili (regular and also vegetarian)
"White" Chicken Chili
Beef Stew
BBQ Pulled Pork
Bean Soup
Pork with Cinnamon Apples
Pot Roast
Stuffed Peppers
Spaghetti Sauce
and a few other random recipes I've tried here and there. The ones above are the things I make over and over.

I love mine, but only use it on the weekends -- I'm too paranoid to leave it on all day while I am at work...
