I think I'm miscarring..
I'm 5 weeks and about 4 days I think... just went to the bathroom and I'm bleeding pretty bad..
I can't stop crying, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Do I call the OB and see if I can go in today?
Never been through this, and I'm not sure what it is I'm supposed to do... 
Can someone help?

now that i'm hoping you saw my above message - please know that there are women who simply 'bleed' and 'spot' throughout their ENTIRE pregnancy.
just as there are women who miscarry and NEVER bleed and NEVER know...there are women who this happens to. I had about 5-6 instances of spotting (some scarier than others) throughout the entire pregnancy and Emma's here and is FINE.
according to my doctor - there is no rhyme or reason as to why it happens....
please, keep some faith - i will be praying for you!!

Call your OB right away! Hopefully it's nothing (as Jess said, many women bleed throughout their pregnancy, especially in the beginning) but you should always err on the side of caution and get checked out by your doctor.
for you and your LO.

thank you jess. I'm waiting for the on call doctor to call me back.. Then I have to wait for DH to get home if the doctor wants me to go to the hospital, since I can't take DS with me.
I really hope that your right. And I'm just praying that this is all just a scare, and our baby is fine

the OB called back, and said from what I'm saying that I am miscarrying, and that unless I'm in alot of pain, that I don't need to come in.
And I should just make an appointment for tomorrow, so they can do a sono to see if they need to do a D&C ..
I asked if there is a possibility that I'm not miscarrying, and she said that shes almost certain I am... so I dunno, I wish my doctor was on call... She was just so awful to, like saying since its so early, I prolly won't pass so much stuff, like really stuff? this is a baby, not stuff you azzhole...

i think the doctor was just trying to be realistic and not get your hopes up. a lot of women spot and bleed in early pregnancy, and there is the occasional woman who bleeds a lot and the baby is fine, but the sad reality is that red blood, and a lot of it, is almost never a good thing.
i am so very sorry you are going through this.

I am so sorry you are going through this- it sounds like your doc is giving you decent advice. Sadly, if you are m/cing this early, there is little anyone can do about it. A trip to the hospital will make little difference, but if it makes you feel better you can always go....
If you are in pain or are bleeding really heavily (more than a pad an hour, I think) then you need to go in. If not, waiting until tomorrow is okay to do. Again, I am so sorry. I know just how much this hurts. Hopefully, you are one of those who bleed and it turns out okay.

I'm so sorry to hear that.
Unfortunately when you are so early in the game there really is nothing you can do but wait it out.
We went in for our first sono at exactly 6 weeks and saw no HBs (we were PG with twins at the time). That night I had red bleeding so the following day we went for another sono and both babies were there with strong HBs. In the next few weeks, I had a TON of bleeding - there was one time it was so bad (like a VERY heavy AF with clots) that I thought I lost both babies... but when I went for another sono, both babies again were there with strong HBs.
On the other hand, we did end up losing one of the twins and when we did, I had NO bleeding whatsoever... so you really never know!

I'm sorry you are going through this. I miscarried at 6w3d and it was soo hard. I bled like it was a very heavy period. I hope this is not the case for you.
