i think my cats jealous of baby
So my DD is two months old and sleeping in the bassinet in my room. Today, I noticed that one of the cats pee'd on the comforter in her crib. I can't believe it. I have two cats and have had them for about 5 years. They have never pee'd anywhere other than their littler box!
I can only assume they are jealous? They were my babies prior to my DD's arrival and i havent been giving them as much attention since DD has been around.
Any one else have experience with this? If so, how did you get them to stop.

Re: i think my cats jealous of baby
ha!
I have two cats as well.
Really we have to schedule Cat time. We split them up and he takes Bonnie and I take Clyde. But we give them one on one attention daily. No matter what.
If we come home for lunch its their time.
If she's naps its their time
When she goes to bed at night its, play time for them.
AJ is 2 now and obviously more mobile so we make sure their feeding time is uninterrupted. We also have specific hiding spaces they can get to.
But when she was much younger they were not allowed in her room EVER. Before she was born that room was shut off to them. They weren't allowed in. Once she came in they could roam anywhere but that room. Even now at 2, her room is off limits whether she's in it or not.
So both have their own space (kid and cats).
Its gotten to a point where the cats literally ACT different when she's not around. Like they 'know'.
Good Luck!
