I think my dd may be allergic to rice cereal

We started it Sunday night and now I notice a little rash on the right side of her neck. Do you think this could be an allergy or would she have a rash everywhere? TIA!

when my dd got a rash after oatmeal it was all over her face. The peds and dermatologist said it could have been the lotion i used too that day. They couldnt defiantly rule out the oatmeal, but they did say if it was an allergy it wouldnt just be on her face, it would be all over her body. They told me to stop oatmeal and start rice and then barley and then go back to oatmeal and see if happens again. HTH

Our allergist told us that an allergy to rice is very rare although can happen. DS had a contact allergy to oatmeal and would develope a rash around his lips and chin but outgrew it by the time he was 11 or 12 months.

It could be irritation from clothes too. I would stop giving the rice cereal and wait for that to clear up. Once it does try again with it.
