I thought the terrible twos were bad.......
These fours are going to kill me! Nobody ever said that 4 would be so hard! What can I do? DS will NOT listen to me, AT ALL!!! I'm consisten, I never give in, but a piece of candy can become an hour long fight/tantrum....
Any advice? I'm pg with #2 and due 9/11 and I don't know what in the world I'm going to do if I can't correct this by then!

Totally NOT a BTDT mom..but when you say it's an hour fight or tantrum... my first reaction is..don't entertain it.. meaning..ignore walk away...dont respond after No...kwim

good lucl..not looking forward to it.
I ignore it, but HE goes on for an hour. I try to not pay him ANY attention unless he starts being destructive then I have to step in. He does things like walk outside without asking or telling anybody and when I make him come in he throws himself down screaming that he's FOUR and can do whatever he wants! It's been a long couple weeks!

BTDT..... TWICE!!!  
Just keep doing what you're doing, and they WILL outgrow it. DS is almost 8 and pleasant now, and DD is almost 5, and the light at the end of the tunnel is shining brighter and brighter. She's making noticeable changes in her attitude, tantrums, defiance, etc.
