i thought this was supposed to get better-newborn 9 wks question
i am at the end of my rope doing the same thing over and over and over day in and day out........DD is 9 wks. she has been in her crib happily since 6 wks. then we introduced the miracle blanke 7wkst and she slept even better. things were starting to look up....friday she had first shots and slept A LOT this weekend. now this week as been HORRIBLE! miracle blanket not even helping! i think she is addicted to her pacifier- she can''t calm down without it or fall asleep without it but the second it falls out she is in hysterics and i have to go in and start all over again! its maddening! anyone's DC become binky obsessed this young?? is it possible? can i wean her or is this it? thank you for ANY info/advice you can offer!

maybe....i am bfing though and it's scaring me to think she is more interested in the pacifier than the breast. i guess i just answered my own question then. i'll try to cut the use of the pacifier best i can

Re: i thought this was supposed to get better-newborn 9 wks question
For me the best thing i did was throw away the boys pacifiers at 10 weeks. Every time that stupid thing would fall out of their mouths they would cry. I finally decided i was going to have a horrible night and deal with it. After the night...which really was not that bad, the boys never looked for their pacifier again. I swear it gets better at 12 weeks.....that was a turning point for us and by 4 months they were sleeping through the night.
Boy do i remember those days though. Hang in there.

Re: i thought this was supposed to get better-newborn 9 wks question
our ds has been very cranky since his shots on friday as well... he has been sleeping less at night only for 4 hours instead of 6... it could be shots related but I have a tough time figuring it out since he got his shots on friday, we started using different bottles on sunday, and started giving him vitamins on monday... lots of changes in a few days for a little guy... babies I tell you

DS is always overtired. He is just understanding the concept of naps. He fights it all the time. But will calm down if I hold him and give him the pacifier.
