I told my 8th graders today that I'm pregnant...
I teach music for grades 1-8, but they don't know yet that I'm pregnant. Today I was dry heaving during chorus while sitting at the piano, and they were all freaking out that I was sick, so I figured I should probably tell them since it's been a fairly common occurrence. And I have to say, out of all the people I've told about my pregnancy (which is really everyone I know ), they were the most excited. They were so incredibly cute. The jumped up out of their seats and ran over and all hugged me, even the boys I told them that I don't want all the other kids to know and I was very proud of them, they kept the secret for an entire day I'm sure by Monday they'll all know
Anyway, it made me really remember just why I love my kids at school and my school in itself. It's like my big, extended family

Isn't that great?! It makes it fun!
I told my Kindergarteners a couple of weeks ago bc one of them brought it up (I told the parents around 15 wks). They all started clapping and cheering. It was adorable. Sometimes they'll make comments about my belly growing and they were giving reasons on why they think it will be a boy or girl recently at snack time. It's a lot of fun!
