I totally forgot to post this...our fun day in the city ( TONS OF PICS)
Last Thursday, DH and I surprised out almost 7 year old (Nicholas) with a day in the city.
He woke up (he thought for school) and came rushing into our room, thinking DH overslept for work.
We told him that Daddy took the day off, and we had a fun day planned for the 3 of us (we left Joey home with my parents...WAY too much walking for him).
First, we hopped on the LIRR. This was Nicholas' first train ride EVER:
At first...very nervous:
Then he warmed up:
First stop...windows at Macy's:
Some city scenes:
Next...onto RCMH to see the Christmas Spectacular! Show was AMAZING!
Next..>Rockefeller Center:
St. Patrick's Cathedral where we lit a candle:

Times Square:
Toys R Us:
Empire State Building:
Nicholas said it was the best day of his life.
He came home and wrote all about his day, then read it to his class the next day.
So cute...and what a great day.
