I tried to tell Alex last night
That she's going to be a big sister, but she stole my thunder.
God knows, we needed a little something to lighten the mood, especially because she keeps asking when we're going to visit Grandpa 
So to ease into the conversation I told her that I'm taking her on a big shopping trip to buy new furniture and new paint for her new big girl room.
And before I could say anything else, she said "because the baby needs my room mommy?"
With mouth gaping open, I said yes, and she proceeded to say "because the baby needs my old crib"
And then ended it with "I'm going to be a sister!"
I didn't have to say a word.
This kid is a genius

 I love that little girl! I was amazed way back when Joseph mentioned we were having a baby because we never said it to him. Those little ears pick up a lot!
