I want to publish a cookbook
just for moms - with REALLY yummy - but easy recipes.
I was thinking about asking all my mommy friends for their fav. easy recipe - then compiling them - and giving everyone a book who contributed (I guess the cost to the moms would really just be to cover expenses)
SEE MY POST BELOW IF YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE!

Re: I want to publish a cookbook
OHHH...I'd LOVE to! I think it's a great idea.
I think it depends on how many moms you ask to contribute to determine how many recipes.
Maybe you could do a "meal" each person contribute an appetizer, a main meal, and dessert if it's going to be dinners.
Or breakfast w/ a drink recipes.
You could call it "Mommy Meals"

Re: I want to publish a cookbook
Does eating Chips Ahoy! count as an "easy recipe"?
Just kidding. Seriously, what are you looking for, fast to prep and cook, a few ingredients?
I have a really easy one that DH and I enjoy. Sorry it's not more creative.
1 box of pasta (I use wholewheat) 1 can of diced tomatoes (I like the ones with Italian seasoning, but you could dice your own and add your own spices) 2 grilled chicken breasts, cut up into bite size pieces * Steamed veggies, if desired
Prepare pasta as usual. In a separate saucepan, heat up the diced tomatoes and toss in the chicken so it takes on some of the tomato flavor. Once heated through, add all the other ingredients to the pasta and mix thoroughly.
* I usually grill a bunch of chicken breasts on the weekend and keep them in the fridge, and then I can heat them quick to put on a salad, in this, on a sandwich, etc.

Re: I want to publish a cookbook
I have a great turkey meatloaf recipe-healthy and easy to make although it does have to cook for a while. Makes a lot so you can freeze it.
2lbs ground turkey 1 can low fat cream of mushroom soup 2 pkgs onion soup mix crumbled crakers or breadcrumbs dash of ketchup salt and pepper adobo or any other seasonings you like
Mix all together in a large bowl with your hands. Add everything except the crackers. Add the crackers or breadcrums slowly until you get a semi-dry consistency(it should be able to hold together when formed and a bit moist) form into a meatloaf shape on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 for 45 minutes to an hour or until no longer pink in the middle.

Re: I want to publish a cookbook
I guess FM me the recipe - and it's good points - like is it healthy - Fast - vegetarian etc... And the category (Dinner, Lunch, Dessert, etc..)
Also how long it takes you to make and if you know where you got the recipe from originally.
Can you also include your name - babies name and age and email address (So I can contact you when its done!)

Re: I want to publish a cookbook
you have FM
I got tired of the same old chicken so I created this one myself
I cut up chicken into bite sizes and sautay it in a pan with zesty italian dressing ( I usually use either 1 large bottle or 2 small bottles) to one package of chicken
I will add garlic powder red pepper flakes salt and pepper to your desired taste
While that is cooking I make a pound of pasta when the pasta is done I strain it and then take the chicken and the italian dressing mix it up with the pasta and add another small bottle of italian dressing and serve
Can be served hot or cold
takes about 5 to 10 minutes to cut up the chicken and about 10 to 15 minutes to cook

Ooh, what a great idea. I don't really have any good recipes. Not quick ones anyway, but good luck. I would gladly buy a copy
