I want to thank you all!!! (Regarding getting a second opinion
To keep you up to speed: I went to the first neurologist a few weeks ago and he said to wait 3-4 months for him to send me for the next round of tests. He obviously thinks I have all the time in the world to live like normal again. 
So today I went to the second neurologist (one not affiliated with the hospital I delivered at.) As I was explaining everything he interupted me and asked 'Did you have an epidural?'  I said 'I had a spinal.' He said it was pretty much the same thing. He has sent me for 3 more tests. (One spine MRI and two EMGs, one for upper extremities and one for lower.) This is now the 5th doctor that believes something is affilaited with the spinal. The only doctor that said it wasn't possible was affiliated with the hospital I dlieverd at. Interesting. 
BUT!!!!!!!!!! He also believes I have more damage (than the spinal damage and the herniated disk.) I asked why he thought that and he said because of the numbness in my hands. Hmmm, I wasn't even thinking about that. He said it might be from the size of my belly and all the amniotic fluid and size of the baby. (If you don't know I had a HUGE baby and he was still swimming around, outstretched the morning I delivered because I had a TON of amniotic fluid.) He said that my uterus might have shifted so much around on the inside that it might have pinched areas of my spine. Are you kidding me? 
I am so glad I didn't wait for the other doctor to test me in the Spring. I am finally getting somewhere. I just want answers. Thank you for encouraging me to go see another neurologist!

Kelly, I'm so glad you went for a 2nd opinion....seems like you're finally getting somewhere. Hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it & you'll be back to your old self again.

I'm glad you went for another opinion also. It sounded too risky and too uncomfortable to live with for several more months.
