For fame and fortune- are you kidding me? These women (and their children) will be set for life.
People do a whole lot more for a whole lot less. Katie and Kelly will never have to work a day in their lives. I mean, what has Kelly Preston done? And the few things I have seen her in- she doesn't have too much talent.
And since hooking up with Tom Cruise- has Katie Holmes actually done anything but turn down movies?? Lets be honest.
So for a 5 year "relationship" she gets a kid, a whole lot of $ and name recognition. For someone whose goal it is to become a celebrity- that's not too shabby.

okay but forget about the fame part. These women (and haven't kelly & john been married like 10 years? ) would have to give up their lives for 5 years, 10 years, whatever. That means they'd be unhappy, give up on at a chance at love because they married these guys, and be completely fake for the whole time they're married? That's too high of a price...

Besides, he married Mimi when he was 12 and she was 43 I believe  .
She was a Scientologist before him, so *he* probably signed a contract with her.

First, Nicole Kidman, then Penelope Cruz, and most recently Katie Holmes. In each instance, the "relationship" is actually a contract that gives the women a boost to their careers, a lot of money, and an elegant lifestyle.
Nicole Kidman hardly seems like the type to strike such a deal. If anything, I would say she discovered he was gay, hence the divorce.

I really don't think Suri is his child. I'm not sure if he is gay or not, but that child can't be his. he probably can not have kids , why would he have adopted w/ Nicole?

I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Cruise was gay. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Hollywood men were gay. I mean think about your high school drama club and plays. Many of the guys involved in acting are gay. So why would Hollywood be any different?
As far as Suri being his daughter, that girl looks so much like him that I find it hard to believe she's not his. If she's not his than they got someone who looks like him to get Katie pregnant.
The contract idea sounds crazy and it bothers me to think that women would do something like that but people do crazy things for money. I can't believe that they actually sign a contract. I can believe that Tom makes them a great offer and I'm sure he could threaten them with their career. But think of how much money they could make by exposing him also. They could sell their story for a lot of money. It all just seems way too risky for me to believe.

Look what he TRIED to do wtih the South Park episode about it. He told Viacom (who owns Comedy Central) that if they reaired the episode he would not grant any of them interviews for MI3. He also somehow got Isaac Hayes, who is a fellow Scientologist, to quit over the injustice of mocking Scientology. He had no problem during the original taping of the episode. Also- have you seen the show Isaac? They make fun of EVERYONE!!
So yes, Tom Cruise definitely has some clout in Hollywood.
And yes, from my friend at US Weekly- if anyone prints anything about him being gay- he will pound you with legal actions until you are broke.
