I live in Commack and I work in Jericho which is only 5 mintues east of Williston Park. I think Commack and East Northport are great N. Shore Suffolk locations to commute to Williston Park because the parkways are close and the ride is really not bad at all. Deer Park and Huntington are good choices too.

How about Smithtown or Hauppauge? That's a little further east though.

Have you looked in Nassau? Like Great Neck, Manhasset or Port Washington?

There are also a lot of nice Co-ops in Garden City if you look in Nassau.

If you're looking for co-ops what about Huntington. Or Deer Park (is that south shore, though?).

There are some Coops/Townhomes in Centerport, right by 25A. The commute wouldn't be too bad if you took 25A/Northern Blvd in to W. Park.

I think they are on the pricey side - like $600K+ for 2BR and 12K+ taxes (and I don't think that includes HOAs)
Huntington is a great location and the village is great.

There are loads of co-ops in Great Neck, and some aren't so pricey. New Hyde Park is close to Williston also. I'm not sure there are many co-ops in Port Washington and Manhasset, but certainly take a look.

Hey, my cousin is selling her coop in Roslyn if you're interested. But like you said, the maint fees are crazy (1K a month).

Re: I woirk in Williston Park, What Towns are in Suffolk North Shore side that are convenient
Williston Park is so close to the Nassau/Queens border. I suggest going into Queens rather than Suffolk. Especially since you are going to be going with the flow of traffic. Northern State is not pretty going westbound in the AM.
We are moving to Glen Oaks in Feb and I recommend it.
LINK
It's about 4 miles and you can pretty much just go down Union Turnpike or Hillside Avenue. It should be less than 10 minutes away.

that's a great idea too. The Forest Hillsa area is a great place to live.
