IBS... Very much tmi.
THis is really TMI and embarassing.. but I have to see what the heck is going on.
Okay.. I was so excited for the IBS to get better since I was pg. And for the most part it has.. I don't get the runs anymore... But almost once a day I still get all cramped up in my tummy just like I am about to get "sick". At times, it can get really bad.. chills and goosebumps and all. I am totally stuck at my desk immobile. Not good since I work at a school. I kind of relax and breathe deep and after about 30 minutes it goes away.. Sometimes I do have to go but, not the runs.....Oh god I can't believe I am writing this..
This is not AF like cramping. It is EXACTLY like the cramping before and IBS attack.. Is anyone else experiencing this? I don't know what is going on. I don't want to call the doctor but, I will mention it next week.

Please don't be embarrassed about writing this! I get BAD gas pains about every other day.....and before I got PG, I used to get the runs ALOT....now, I am extremely constipated (and those gas pains are awful!). I definitely out-fart my DH!
Please let us know what you doctor says about this.....

I don't have IBS and I'm either constipated or have the runs.
I frequently throughout the day get cramping like I need to go and I get so excited and go to the bathroom and nothing......
I get the same chills and yuchy feelings.

Re: IBS... Very much tmi.
I definitely can relate to the IBS cramping -- I would be doubled over in pain from that and couldn't hold it! Horrible feeling, I totally feel your pain!!

Don't be embarrassed! Pregnancy totally messes with your body and you need to be able to ask questions. A good friend of mine keeps reminding me there is no dignity in pregnancy.
I would definitely mention it to my doctor. I had this weird pain for weeks before I asked my doctor and once I knew what it was I was so much less worried.

Re: IBS... Very much tmi.
I have IBS. Before the pregnancy, both this one and the one with my son, there was no symptoms of the IBS. This pg I actually have constipation which is the exact opposite of what I am used to. What I am nervous about is that after I had ds the IBS came back HORRIBLE. My gastro moved out to Stoneybrook so I need to find a new one. I would like to see them before I give birth so I have a plan in case the IBS repeats itself again. I feel bad for you IBS really stinks.

Re: IBS... Very much tmi.
i have pretty much the same thing - minus the severe pain.
I have always had ibs-d (can't stop going and no solid to speak of)....but in the past 2 weeks, it's getting better....i'm going less and when I do go - there is firmness there that i've never had in all my life....
BUT - maybe once a day, or every 2 days, i will still have 'an episode', like you are describing....where it'll be no different, still painful, runnny, etc....
Compared to what i USED to deal with - i'm loving it!!!!
