Idea for Baptism favors and centerpieces...
What do you think of this idea - be honest 
I want to dress up the tables at the restaurant for Gigi's baptism, and I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone (what a terrible saying!)... I found a great place that will do cookie favors (butter cookies with a cross design) AND they will make centerpieces out of them.
What do you think: cute or cheesy? Should I just stick to floral arrangements, or do you think cookie bouquet centerpieces would be cute?

I think the idea sounds very cute but I would have to see them first. My DDs Christening is on 4/19 and we are having a very small gathering... I am trying to figure out what to do for favors too. Thanks for the idea!

I did something similar. I had chocolate lollipops as the favor and the centerpiece. I used Emerald City Sweets and I loved the finished product!! She put the pops in a bucket and decorated the bucket with blue and white. She then placed the pops nicely in them. I am going to upload pics. I highly recommend them!

Hollie - love the way yours came out as well.
I was so against favors, but did want to do cute centerpieces, so this really does the trick!

I did the same thing...I think it's cute and like you said, killed two birds with one stone. I would definitely do this idea again for a party. I bet the cookies would probably look great too

We used cookies as centerpieces in the shapes of crosses. Each cookie was individually wrapped so guests could take them home as favors. They were a big hit! We used Cookies by Design and we were very pleased.
I'm trying to upload pictures, but my computer is crapping out on me...I think I posted pictures once before - let me see if I can find them!

I called Jean from eatsomethingcute.com and she quoted me 37.50 for one centerpiece with ten large cross cookies in it... the centerpiece is a terracotta flower pot and it's made to look like a floral arrangement. She needs two weeks notice in order to process the order.
Not bad right? I figure, a floral arrangement would be around 40-50 a table, plus buying favors - this is the centerpiece and favor wrapped in one. I think I'm going to go for it.
OH, she said the cookies are on the soft side (that matters to me - I don't like hard/firm butter cookies). Maybe she'll send me one to taste-test... lol

Great Idea- and if you want to save $ you can do them yourself- I'd order the cookies though. Then you can add big swirl lollipops and chocolate crosses if you want for less than what you'd pay places like Veronica's Treats.
