I know plenty of people who have 1 child by choice!! Don't let people get to you!! Ideally we would like 2 children, but I have to see how the first pregnancy goes first!!!

Ideally we would be happy with 2 but agreed to go for #3 if we have the same sex on the other 2...3 is the max though

We want 3.
I grew up in a family of 4 so I've always wanted 3 or 4 kids. DH only wanted 2. The thing is, we're 20 & 21 & we already have one. If I get pregnant anytime in the next 6 months, I'll be only 21 (DH 22) when we have our second. I do not want to be finished having babies at 21 because I feel like that's too soon. DH saw my point & now he's totally on board for 3. We'll most probably stop at 3, but we also agreed that we won't do anything permenant too quickly after number 3 just in case. Since we're so young, I'm too scared of doing anything permenant since there is a chance of choosing to have more children 10 or even 15 years from now.

Ideally 2, but as someone else said- it depends how easy it is to get 1.
Something that really put things in perspective for me was in terms of child development-- If siblings are at least 4 years apart, they are still "considered" only children. Like, the development would be the same if you were an only child, vs a child with a sibling far apart in age. My brother is 5 years older than me, and I turned out ok! I do think it's easier to have one kid if you have a big family and there will be lots of other kids around.

Ideally, I would like 4 total. We have a DS now and DH wants to stop after baby #2. But we both agreed to discuss it more when the time comes.
With all the IF issues we are facing who knows if more DC are in our future.

Dh comes from a large family so sometimes I want 6-7 but thats most likely not an option lol
