Ideas for "clean" meals?
What are some of your favorite clean meal ideas?
I don't eat red or white meat, only fish but I'm getting bored with fish, rice, and veggies for dinner!
I eat cottage cheese, fruits and veggies for snacks.
Egg white omelets are good, but can also get boring.

What about making your own pizza with a sprouted tortilla or a spelt dough?
I like toasted, sprouted grain bread (like Rudi's) and then I use avocado for a spread add salt & pepper, and sliced tomato & mesculine salad. It's a delicious, healthy sandwich. So good!!

Incorporate other whole grains into your diet. I love kasha (buck wheat) pilaf with mushrooms, onions and black beans. Quinoa is another grain that is versatile. It does not have a lot of its own flavor but can provide a good base for a veggie dish. Do you eat tofu or spelt these are also good sources of protein. My favorite websites for recipes are: Bonapetite.com cleaneatingmag.com skinnytaste.com

Re: Ideas for "clean" meals?
I've been into fish lettuce wraps lately.
Bake some white fish with cajun seasoning. Lay out a platter of boston or butter lettuce and beans sprouts, shredded carrots are good too if you like.
I also make an avocado topping by grating ginger, lime zest and garlic into a bowl with the juice of one lime and salt. I let it "cook" in the acid for about 10 minutes. Then I add 2-3 diced avocados and a light drizzle of olive or toasted sesame oil and fold it together gently. It adds a great fattiness and substance to the meal, and since there's no starch you can afford it in terms of calories.
And I break out my bottle of sriracha for heat
These are also great recipes.
Cold Soba Noodles Lentils and Beets
For the cold soba noodles, you could definitely substitute shrimp for the chicken. I tweaked that recipe to add more flavor, and it's delicious. FM if you're interested.

What about the morning star crumbles? I use ground turkey but you can use the crumbles and I through it into spinach, broccoli and mushrooms that I cook up in a frying pam with some pan. I cut up a light laughing cow cheese wedge and toss that in it and eat that! SO yummy!

Re: Ideas for "clean" meals?
I made a quick meal today that is super clean. I diced a zucchini and microwaved it for a few minutes to soften it up. I then sateed some mushrooms and tomatoes . Added the zucchini with tomato paste and a little water . Cook this mixture ubtil the water steams out. You could serve it over brown rice for some healthy carbs or add black beans for protein.
