Ideas for fun stuff to do with a toddler
I am trying to find some new things to do with Miki on the weekends.....any ideas?
Here is what we currently do
1. Go to the park 2. Fingerpaint / color 3. Read books 4. Listen to music and dance around the house
any other ideas?

Bake cookies & decorate them
Play doh
Build with mega blocks
Dress up
Pretend play (DD plays with her food & shopping cart & we go "shopping" and then cook in her kitchen)
ETA: We also play silly games, like what animal makes that sound? She actually plays it. She'll "moo" and then ask me "what animal makes that sound" and when I say cow she says "very good". She'll go on for a dozen animals.
Puzzles
Counting

We took DS to Petsmart the other day. He saw cats, the doogie daycare, fish, birds etc. It was like a free zoo as far as he was concerned.
Musuems as well
ETA I used to Irish Step Dance and DS can't get enough of it He laughs and sort of stamps along. Cutest thing ever!

We baked and decorated cookies yesterday -- well i baked them when DS was sleeping and then when he woke up we decorated them. We made snowmen. I rolled them out and used a cookie cutter and afterwards my friend told me that she used the rolled sugar cookie dough and and just overlaped 3 cookies and baked them like that.

Don't you have a Science museum in Charlotte? I remember one from way back. She may be into that.

Re: Ideas for fun stuff to do with a toddler
I am spending most of saturday at my favorite church park
we cook a lot together
he makes me macaroni necklaces
one of these weekends I am driving back up to salisbury to go to train museum again, its a cheap day and we loved it.
the trip down to columbia is sooooo worth it. EDventure is down there. Its the best children's museum.
Since my kid doesn't nap, we make a columbia day out of it and go to the zoo also. LOVE their zoo. not a lot of walking at all. We love feeding the giraffes.
For 5.00 we have a great time at Chuck E Cheese...just go right when they open.
I found a saturday morning soccer program that starts at 18 mos old.
PLAZA FIESTA!!! for 2.00, its the most fun ever!!! Best food court around.
Yesterday I found a playhouse/swingset company that allows open play on their floor models for free. Its was fantastic.
